The programme booklet for the joint Rachmaninoff cycle by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Opernhaus is available in printed form at the ticket office and at the CD stand on the evening of the concert (CHF 5).

The climaxes in his works must be reached "with the appearance of the greatest naturalness", Sergei Rachmaninov once wrote; "this moment must occur like the click and spray of the tearing finishing tape at the end of a race". Probably no other pianist currently clicks with such precision as Yuja Wang; she plays with such self-evident virtuosity that she can concentrate entirely on the race, i.e. the music. This is equally breathtaking to listen to and to watch – and entirely in Rachmaninoff's sense of "greatest naturalness".
