The masterclass combines sound and facts about a selected instrument: a member of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich will introduce you to the world of their instrument. This includes insights into the history, functioning and playing techniques as well as explanations of the work presented by a student of the orchestra member. The masterclass is an enrichment not only for professionals, but also for people who want to explore the instrument in depth for the first time.
As a member of the Freundeskreis Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, you have access to at least one masterclass per season from the "Bach" category upwards. The format takes place four times in total, each time with different instruments.
